Geordie reality queen Vicky Pattison admits that she’s struggling to settle back into a life back in Newcastle.
The former Geordie Shore star and Queen of the I’m A Celeb jungle, moved back to the North East to be with fiancé John Noble.
But speaking at the launch of her new MTV show Ex On The Beach: Body SOS, Queen V told Mirror Online that she’s struggling to cope with the domestic life.
She told us: “I’m really struggling and it’s not something I’m ashamed about, it’s something I didn’t expect. I’ve whinged for the last two years that I miss Newcastle, and I miss my home, and I miss where I’m from, and I miss my family, and then I finally spearheaded this move predominantly because I wanted to be with John.
“I promised him last year that I was going to slow down, then of course I spent six months filming this [Beach Body SOS] all over the country so I didn’t.
“I mean, we couldn’t even have an engagement party when we got engaged, it had to be four months after because I was so busy and it’s not fair to him, it’s not fair to the relationship.
“So we’ve bought this house and moved up home and I’m at a loss, I’m at a total loose end. It’s lovely and it’s chilled out and I love my mates and my family, and having my mam and sister on my doorstep is amazing, and living with John is a dream come true.
“But I’ve gone from being a woman who’s worked hard and defined herself by her career and has toiled away for the last few years to make anything of herself, rather that people used to say – which was quite scornful – a reality TV star, and now I find myself up in Newcastle doing the washing and having a row with John about a clothehorse.”
She added: “This is a massive adjustment for me and it’s one that I’ve thrown myself into with such gusto, because I really did think I was going to take to it like a duck to water, but I really need to work, I’m one of these people who just needs to work, so I think we’re going to meet a bit of a compromise where I work a couple days a week down in London.
