The enormous fan help did not go unnoticed by Patriots wideout Julian Edelman.
“The Foxborough dedicated was there. That is constantly wonderful to see our fans go to the next stadium,” Edelman said after the diversion. “I’ve never truly seen anything like that. It was great. We listened “resistance” serenades that sounded pretty much as boisterous as “Chargers” serenades. You don’t expect anything less from our fans. It’s great to have them in our corner.”
Patriots mentor Bill Belichick reverberated Edelman’s notions amid his telephone call with the media on Monday.
“They were simply all sort of in the same spot [behind the Patriots bench],” Belichick said. “It was very nearly like a school amusement in an impartial site, where one side of the field is one group and the other side is the other group. It wasn’t exactly like that, however we had every one of those fans directly behind us. They were noisy and vocal… It was an electric night. The swarm had a great deal of vitality.”
