“Wait until you see what our home life was like,” Markle’s sister says after Prince Harry’s comments about family.
Is there already some royal drama surrounding the next Royal Wedding?
Prince Harry made headlines after talking to BBC about how he celebrated Christmas with fiancée Meghan Markle, but the “Suits” star’s older sister isn’t too happy with some of his comments.
“It was fantastic. She really enjoyed it. The family loved having her there,” he told BBC’s Radio 4’s Today. “I think we’ve got one of the biggest families that I know of and every family is complex as well. She’s done an absolutely amazing job, she’s getting in there and it’s the family that I suppose she never had.”
It’s that last line that seemed to set off Samantha Markle, who PEOPLE described as Meghan’s “estranged half-sister” that hasn’t had contact with the royal-to-be in over a decade. The two share the same father, Thomas Markle.
After a reporter from London’s Daily Express tweeted out Harry’s closing quote, Samantha tweeted:
Samantha is currently working on a book titled, “The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister,” a book she swears won’t be a “slamming ‘tell-all.'”
“It’s only a tell-all in that I go through and recant some of the beautiful nuances of our lives, our family home,” she previously told “Good Morning Britain.”
She added, “But more importantly it has to do with the inter-racial evolution of this country through the lens of my life and my family since the Civil Rights Act until present, and how that intersects with this recent event with my sister, you know, my feelings about it, my family’s feelings about it and how sad it was going through it all. But it’s more of a beautiful, warm, witty story of our lives and my life.”
